講 義 内 容

講 義 概 要

Through engaging with wordplay, students are guided to appreciate the importance of wordplay in English, and understand the cognitive processes, affective challenges, and other aspects involved. This helps them learn the necessity of foreign language (English) education for children. In this context, students develop practical teaching skills using active learning methods that foster self-directed, interactive, and in-depth learning. Additionally, they will have conduct hands-on teaching practice at Shoin Kindergarten.

The goal of foreign language (English) education in kindergartens and elementary schools is to develop the following abilities:

- To understand the basic theories of early English education.
- To acquire foundational skills for implementing instruction based on the theories of early English education.

第7回Understanding the timeliness of the five skills for children.
第8回Understanding the Relationship between Listening and Speaking and Brain Development.
第9回Understanding the Relationship between Reading and Writing and Brain Development.
第10回Types of Teaching Materials and Tools Used in Children's English and Practical Usage.
第11回Consider teaching for young learners ( 3-6 years old).
第12回Consider teaching for young learners ( 6-9 years old).
第13回Mock class and presentation (1)
第14回Mock class and presentation (2)
第15回Summary: Understanding the qualities and abilities required of a leader.

評 価 方 法

The student will be evaluated comprehensively based on the following:
-Assignments that test the fundamentals of English education for children (50%)
and practice lesson and presentation:
-A comprehensive evaluation will be made based on the content of the mock class, practical training at a kindergarten, and Classroom English presentation (50%).
